    Hello world!

Everyday Glamour Chick Everyday Glamour Chick

What is Everyday Glamour, anyway?  Champagne for breakfast?  Stilettos by the pool?  A head scarf, sunglasses, and a convertible?  NO, NO, NO!

Everyday Glamour is that je ne sais quoi that some women just have.  It's the picture of effortless style that is always appropriate for the time, place, and occasion, (T.P.O.)  The Everyday Glamour Chick, (E.G.C.), may or may not be technically beautiful--but that's a moot point.  Her style trumps all.  In short, she's the type Prince was singing about in Raspberry Beret.

Picture this:  You're in the airport.  You've been on a plane since half-past-God-I'm-tired, and you look like a harried grease ball.  E.G.C., on the other hand, looks effortlessly chic and fresh as a daisy.  Damn her!

Now you're out on a lazy Sunday morning coffee run.  No one will notice that your sweatpants have a hole in the crotch, will they?  Oh, there's E.G.C.!  Look at her!  She's walking her dog looking oh-I-just-rolled-out-of-bed-looking-totally-cute-without-trying.  Who's that hot guy she's talking to?

Now you're at the office.  You toil away in your cubicle unnoticed, wearing an Ann Taylor twin set and practical shoes.  What's that?  E.G.C. just got promoted?  It's just not fair, she doesn't even do "toiling"!

The purpose of this blog is to uncover E.G.C.'s little secrets.  Think of it as your style cheat sheet.  Follow my blog regularly, take action, and people will start thinking you're:

    1.  Sexier

    2.  More intelligent.

    3.  Fascinating.

    4.  Worthy of more money.  Hello!

Why you should listen to me:

    1.  For the past 12 years, I've worked for the most fashionable and legendary stores in Manhattan, and I've helped thousands of women with their wardrobes over the years.

    2.  I'm a Wardrobe Consultant and Personal Shopper.

    3.  I'm ga-ga about clothes.

Have I clarified your expectations?  Let me know!  Here's to being an E.G.C.!

i love clothes. ... but more importantly it's the person wearing the clothes and their attitudes.

AHH! Yes! That's it! The person wearing the clothes and the attitude, these are much more important than the clothes themselves. My blog is about enhancing your life through the clothes, because the clothes are a reflection of the wearer. And how we can control people's perception of who we are to a large degree by how we present ourselves.

I love the dressed up style in the photograph, surrounded by not-so-glamorous boxes and an oh so cute cat. Very balanced.

That feeling you get when you catch your reflection in a random window, seeing other people noting how chic you look and that "wow" that your partner says when you come home - for an extra 20 minutes in the morning, it's worth it. I went for Afternoon tea with a friend last Sunday and when I came home, my fiancé told me that I looked so amazing and asked if I was really with my girlfriend! Haha - felt great!

Yes, we should dress nicely, wear make-up etc for ourselves BUT let us not forget that how other people see us affects how we see ourselves. We need to take care of ourselves and present ourselves nicely even for the most basic things i.e. shopping/school run etc.

This blog is wonderful but this entry is off the charts. Why don't you write a book?

    Milla!!!! Thank you!!

OMG, a book? That would be great! Can you think of a good title? :D

I love your perspective, Milla. You are so right about how other people see us affects how we see ourselves. That's actually a unique way of looking at it.

Looking forward to hearing from you more!!
